Specialty Fitters, Inc. is a specialized mechanical piping contractor. We develop and install innovative piping solutions for all customers using essential industrial gases. Servicing customers nationwide in all industries. Including, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Chemicals, Food and Beverage, Automotive, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Plastics, and Power Generation.  

Specialty Fitters, Inc. has a successful project and customer history. We serve as a preferred piping contractor for many of the leading bulk gas suppliers. We have built a solid reputation in the industrial gas industry for our operational excellence and our outstanding safety record. SFI is properly vetted in many safety platforms and an established government contractor

Our specialty is on-site installation work, ranging from a small, one-day service call to a $2 million dollar, one-year contract for a “turn-key” plant installation.

Specialty Fitters, Inc. - Corporate Milestones

1996 SFI Established as independently owned and operated specialized mechanical piping contractor

1997 Earned Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. NE Region contract to solidify long-term business relationship

1999 Awarded $1.5 million project by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc

2001 Expanded SFI service coverage

2004 SFI achieved international growth with first project in Seoul, Korea

2005 Continued growth with newly established company headquarters in Elyria, Ohio, including purchase of land and building

2008 Awarded $1.5 Million project in Houston, Texas by Airgas, Inc.

2010 Executed nationwide installation program with Air Products Gen Gas Plant

2013 Designated Tier 1, Level 3 contractor by Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.

2014 Created SFI Parts & Equipment Division to increase service and product line for new and established customers

2014 Designated Tier 2 contractor by Airgas, Inc.

SFI added Mechanical License in State of Florida

2017 Established SFI South regional office in Mobile, Alabama to foster growth and service customers in Southeast USA

2018 SFI expanded services to include Engineering and Consulting 

SFI recorded highest contracted sales revenue in company history

2019 SFI added Electrical and Specialty Mechanical License in State of West Virginia

2020 SFI expanded company headquarters with the addition of a 5,000 square foot fabrication shop and warehouse

2020 SFI added Boiler/Pressure Vessel License in State of Kentucky

2021 SFI added Electrical Licensure in State of Ohio

1996 – 2021 Celebration and recognition of SFI 25th Anniversary with appreciation for customers, vendors, employees, state and national agencies, and safety compliance associations

2022 SFI added and developed Procurement Division
